Synonym of impeccable craftsmanship, Hippólito’s designs embody taste and refinement, with every stitch made with precision and dedication in the heart of our workshop.

Legend states that a group of young men were taking guava fruits from a tree, when a gentleman wearing a white shirt containing four pockets came and was able to carry more fruits than anyone else. At that moment the Guayabera was born.

Ever since, Guayaberas have been replacing suits and ties in the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic and the rest of the Caribbean.

For more than 40 years and two generations, Hippólito has been dressing important figures from the region, and continues to stand for style with purpose, powerfully
dressing men and women in elegance and poise.

Hippólito started as a small Dominican atelier specializing in Guayaberas.

However, ithas grown to position itself at the forefront of high-end Latin American fashion, with acult following around the world. Today, Hippólito offers both men and womenswear, and operates stores in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Casa de Campo, and its most recent one in Miami.
